Organic anion transporter 5 (OAT5), also known as SLC22A10, belongs to the solute carrier group of membrane transport proteins that mediate cellular uptake of endogenous and exogenous organic ions (PMID: 20865662). Rare variants in SLC22A10 may be associated with Alzheimer's disease CSF profile of neuronal injury and inflammation (PMID: 35173266).
