Background Information
RBMS2 (RNA-binding motif, single-stranded-interacting protein 2), also known as SCR3 (Suppressor of CDC2 with RNA-binding motif 3), is a member of c-Myc single-strand binding proteins (MSSPs) family and encodes RNA binding protein. RBMS2 plays a critical role in the regulation of transcription and alternative splicing, both key cellular processes related to cell proliferation and programmed cell death or apoptosis (PMID: 40854446). Overexpression of RBMS2 inhibited CRC cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) (PMID: 30514345, 38058408).
