Background Information
Human RNA binding gene partner of NOB1 (PNO1) was firstly isolated from human kidney and encodes 35-kDa protein, named PNO1. PNO1 as a ribosome biogenesis factor that contributes to 40S subunit assembly by binding with its partner NOB1. PNO1 is a highly conserved protein with a K homology (KH) domain at its C-terminal and two putative nuclear localization signals at its N-terminal . PNO1 also had great regulatory function in tumor metabolism. (PMID: 38071381, PMID: 33864661)
