Background Information
ZNF280B belongs to the family of zinc finger proteins, a transcription factor that is mainly involved in the regulation of gene expression. In prostate cancer cells, ZNF280B induces p53 nuclear export, leading to subsequent proteasomal degradation. Therefore, ZNF280B has pro-growth and pro-survival functions in prostate cancer cells. In addition to this, ZNF280B has a promotional role in gastric and lung cancer development, and its potential as a tumor therapeutic target can be explored in the future.
