Background Information
SSRP1 (Structure-Specific Recognition Protein 1) is one of the key subunits of the chromatin transcription elongation factor FACT (Facilitates Chromatin Transcription) complex. It forms a heterodimer with SUPT16H and is widely involved in DNA replication, repair and transcription processes in eukaryotes.
