Background Information
Ropporin-1B (ROPN1B), cancer-restricted antigen, is highly expressed and immunogenic, inducing humoral immunity in patients with advanced metastatic melanoma (PMID: 33918976). It is important for male fertility. With ROPN1L, involved in fibrous sheath integrity and sperm motility, it plays a role in PKA-dependent signaling processes required for spermatozoa capacitation (PMID: 23303679).
