PAFAH1B3(Platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase IB subunit gamma) is also named as PAF-AH 29 kDa subunit,PAFAHG and belongs to the 'GDSL' lipolytic enzyme family.It catalyzes the removal of the acetyl group at the sn-2 position of the glycerol backbone of platelet-activating factor (PAF), producing biologically inactive lyso-PAF.It is one of the three subunits of cytosolic PAF-AH IB.
