Background Information
NCOR2, also named as CTG26, SMRT, SMRTE, SMRTE-tau, TNRC14, TRAC-1, TRAC1 and SMAP270, belongs to the N-CoR nuclear receptor corepressors family. NCOR2 mediates the transcriptional repression activity of some nuclear receptors by promoting chromatin condensation, thus preventing access of the basal transcription. Isoform 1 and isoform 5 have different affinities for different nuclear receptors. The antibody recognizes all the isoforms of NCOR2. An about 180 KDa was also reported(PMID: 23081895).
