Product Information
KE10183 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse SIGNR1/CD209b ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse SIGNR1/CD209b. The assay recognizes mouse SIGNR1/CD209b. An antibody specific for mouse SIGNR1/CD209b has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse SIGNR1/CD209b protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse SIGNR1/CD209b is added to detect the captured mouse SIGNR1/CD209b protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
SIGNR1, also known as CD209b, is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin that plays a crucial role in immune recognition and phagocytosis. It is involved in the uptake of dextran polysaccharides, including the capsular polysaccharide of Streptococcus pneumoniae. SIGNR1 is physically associated with TLR4/MD2, which is suggested to play a role in the recognition of LPS. Additionally, SIGNR1 has been shown to bind directly to the complement C1 subcomponent, C1q, to assemble a non-conventional C3 convertase. In the context of cancer, SIGNR1 mediates IL-4-induced macrophage polarization, facilitating immune evasion in lung cancer.
