Background
Ly75 (Lymphocyte Antigen 75), also known as DEC205/CD205, is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the C-type lectin receptor family. Ly75 is expressed in immune cells and cancers, and participates in tumor immunity through a key role in endocytosis by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules and in antigen presentation to T-cells. Ly75 can regulate EOC cell phenotype and transfer potential. 75 regulates EOC cell phenotype and metastatic potential and has a direct role in regulating Wnt/β-cyclin pathway activity in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) cells.
