Product Information
KE10142 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse Keap1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse Keap1. The assay recognizes mouse Keap1. An antibody specific for mouse Keap1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse Keap1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse Keap1 is added to detect the captured mouse Keap1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
The Keap1 protein serves as a crucial regulator with significant biological implications within the cell. In its capacity as an intracellular regulator, the Keap1 protein plays a pivotal role in modulating oxidative stress. The examination of the structure and function of the Keap1 protein suggests that it modulates oxidative stress through its interactions with other proteins. Additionally, it primarily regulates the expression of antioxidant response genes by controlling the stability of the transcription factor Nrf2.
