Product Information
KE10217 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse IL-12RB1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse IL-12RB1. The assay recognizes mouse IL-12RB1. An antibody specific for mouse IL-12RB1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse IL-12RB1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse IL-12RB1 is added to detect the captured mouse IL-12RB1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
IL12RB1, also named as Interleukin-12 receptor subunit beta-1 or CD212, is a 662 amino acid protein, which contains 5 fibronectin type-III domains and belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. IL12RB1 localizes in the membrane and functions as an interleukin receptor which binds interleukin-12 with low affinity and is involved in IL12 transduction. Associated with IL12RB2 it forms a functional, high affinity receptor for IL12. Associates also with IL23R to form the interleukin-23 receptor which functions in IL23 signal transduction probably through activation of the Jak-Stat signaling cascade.
