Product Information
KE10210 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse Foxp3 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse Foxp3. The assay recognizes mouse Foxp3. An antibody specific for mouse Foxp3 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse Foxp3 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse Foxp3 is added to detect the captured mouse Foxp3 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Foxp3 (Forkhead box P3) is a transcription factor that belongs to the Forkhead box family. It is a key transcription factor for regulatory T cells (Tregs) and is crucial for maintaining immune system homeostasis. Deficiency in Foxp3 can lead to immune dysregulation, polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, and X-linked syndrome (IPEX). In mice, the expression of Foxp3 is primarily localized in the nuclei of regulatory T cells. This protein maintains immune system homeostasis by regulating the stability and suppressive function of Tregs, as well as directly regulating the proliferation and function of conventional T cells.
