Product Information
KE10216 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse Calreticulin ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse Calreticulin. The assay recognizes mouse Calreticulin. An antibody specific for mouse Calreticulin has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse Calreticulin protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse Calreticulin is added to detect the captured mouse Calreticulin protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CALR, also named as grp60, ERp60, HACBP, CRP55, CRTC and Calregulin, belongs to the calreticulin family. It is a molecular calcium-binding chaperone promoting folding, oligomeric assembly and quality control in the ER via the calreticulin/calnexin cycle. CALR is a ER marker. It interacts transiently with almost all of the monoglucosylated glycoproteins that are synthesized in the ER. CALR interacts with the DNA-binding domain of NR3C1 and mediates its nuclear export.
