Product Information
KE10178 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse CEACAM1/CD66a ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse CEACAM1/CD66a. The assay recognizes mouse CEACAM1/CD66a. An antibody specific for mouse CEACAM1/CD66a has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse CEACAM1/CD66a protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse CEACAM1/CD66a is added to detect the captured mouse CEACAM1/CD66a protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1, also known as CD66a) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family. It is a highly glycosylated cell surface glycoprotein that mediates cell adhesion via homophilic and heterophilic interactions. CEACAM1 plays crucial roles in various cellular processes, including tissue differentiation, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, and the modulation of both innate and adaptive immune responses. It is also involved in negative regulation of the T cell receptor signaling pathway, negative regulation of leukocyte-mediated cytotoxicity, and wound healing.
