Product Information
KE10153 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse Atox1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse Atox1. The assay recognizes mouse Atox1. An antibody specific for mouse Atox1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse Atox1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse Atox1 is added to detect the captured mouse Atox1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Antioxidant 1 copper chaperone (Atox1) is a small cytosolic protein containing an MBS (metal binding site) and a potential NLS (nuclear localisation signal). It plays an essential role in copper homeostasis by facilitating the transfer of copper to the trans-Golgi. Atox1 has been implicated in a wide range of diseases, including many neurodegenerative, cancer and metabolic disorders.
