Product Information
KE10190 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse ACBP/DBI ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse ACBP/DBI. The assay recognizes mouse ACBP/DBI. An antibody specific for mouse ACBP/DBI has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse ACBP/DBI protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse ACBP/DBI is added to detect the captured mouse ACBP/DBI protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
ACBP/DBI (acyl-CoA binding protein/Diazepam-binding inhibitor) is a widely expressed protein that binds long-chain fatty acyl-CoA esters and plays a role in fatty acyl-CoA transport and pool formation. ACBP/DBI is critical to cellular proliferation, differentiation, mitochondrial functions, and autophagy. Deletion of ACBP in mouse results in sebocyte hyperplasia and sparse, matted hair with a greasy appearance.
