Background Information
MOSC1 also known as MTARC1 and MARC1. It has 3 isoforms and is mainly expressed in liver, breast and adipose tissue. It is a novel signal-anchored protein of the outer mitochondrial membrane and is active in the N- reductive enzyme system and was also found to contribute to the regulation of nitric oxide synthesis (PMID: 23086957).
