Background Information
LPHN1, also named as KIAA0821 and LEC2, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family and LN-TM7 subfamily. LPHN1 calcium-independent receptor of high affinity for alpha-latrotoxin, an excitatory neurotoxin present in Latrodectus mactan venom which triggers massive exocytosis from neurons and neuroendocrine cells. It is a receptor propably implicated in the regulation of exocytosis. This antibody is specific to LPHN1 and has no cross reaction to LPHN2.
