Background Information
KCND2, also named as KIAA1044 and KV4.2, belongs to the potassium channel family and D (Shal) subfamily. It is a pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated rapidly inactivating A-type potassium channels. KCND2 may contribute to I(To) current in heart and I(Sa) current in neurons. Channel properties are modulated by interactions with other alpha subunits and with regulatory subunits. This antibody is specific to KCND2.
