Background Information
IL-12A (Interleukin-12A) is a subunit of the cytokine IL-12, which is also known as IL-12 p35. IL-12 is a heterodimeric cytokine composed of two subunits: IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40). This cytokine plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in the activation and differentiation of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. This antibody recognizes IL-12A and IL-12 P70, which consists of IL-12A and B, but does not recognize IL-12B.
