Product Information
KE00848 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human TYRO3 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human TYRO3. The assay recognizes human TYRO3. An antibody specific for human TYRO3 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human TYRO3 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human TYRO3 is added to detect the captured human TYRO3 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
TYRO3 has a structure includes a cytoplasmic domain and an extracellular ligand binding region. And ligand binding at the cell surface induces dimerization and autophosphorylation of TYRO3 on its intracellular domain that provides docking sites for downstream signaling molecules. TYRO3 is associated with many physiological processes including cell survival, migration and differentiation. It has been reported that TYRO3 can be expressed in various regions of the mammalian central nervous system.
