Product Information
KE00894 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human TPX2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human TPX2. The assay recognizes human TPX2. An antibody specific for human TPX2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human TPX2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human TPX2 is added to detect the captured human TPX2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
TPX2, also known as DIL2, p10, is a microtubule organization- and cell cycle-associated protein. In the early stage of mitosis, TPX2 is released in a RanGTP-dependent manner and plays a significant role in mitotic spindle formation and subsequent proper segregation of chromosomes during cell division. Furthermore, during interphase, TPX2 is involved in DNA damage response by regulation of γ-H2AX signals. Aberrant expression of TPX2 leads to improper spindle assembly and chromosomal instability. Overexpressed in cancers, TPX2 is being established as the marker for the diagnosis and prognosis of malignancies.
