Product Information
KE00675 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human SCN3B ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human SCN3B. The assay recognizes human SCN3B. An antibody specific for human SCN3B has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human SCN3B protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human SCN3B is added to detect the captured human SCN3B protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Sodium channel regulatory subunit beta-3 (SCN3B) is a regulatory subunit of the voltage-gated sodium channel complex. It modulates the inactivation kinetics of the sodium channel, which is crucial for the generation and propagation of action potentials in neurons and muscle cells. SCN3B has been shown to play a role in various cellular processes, including cell migration and apoptosis. In breast cancer, SCN3B has been identified as an anti-cancer molecule with migration inhibition effects. Additionally, SCN3B emerges as a promising potential prognostic biomarker for glioma, especially for oligodendroglioma.
