Product Information
KE00621 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human S1PR2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human S1PR2. The assay recognizes human S1PR2. An antibody specific for human S1PR2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human S1PR2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human S1PR2 is added to detect the captured human S1PR2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
S1PR2 (sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 2), also known as S1P2 or EDG5, is one of five G-protein-coupled receptors for sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), a biologically active metabolic product of sphingolipid. S1P and its receptors have important regulatory functions in normal physiology and disease processes, particularly involving the immune, central nervous, and cardiovascular systems. S1PR2 plays a role in acute vascular inflammation. S1PR2 signaling is implicated in STAT3 activation.
