Product Information
KE00803 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human/rat BCL11A ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human/rat BCL11A. The assay recognizes human/rat BCL11A. An antibody specific for human/rat BCL11A has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human/rat BCL11A protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human/rat BCL11A is added to detect the captured human/rat BCL11A protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
B-Cell Lymphoma/Leukemia 11A(BCL11A) is a highly conserved zinc finger gene. It acts as a myeloid and B-cell proto-oncogene, and may play key roles in leukemogenesis and hematopoiesis. It is an essential factor in lymphopoiesis, and required for B-cell formation in fetal liver. May function as a modulator of the transcriptional repression activity of ARP1. It is also involved in lymphoid malignancies through translocation or amplification events. It has recently been shown that BCL11A expression is inversely correlated with γ globin expression.
