Product Information
KE00542 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human ROR1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human ROR1. The assay recognizes human ROR1. An antibody specific for human ROR1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human ROR1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human ROR1 is added to detect the captured human ROR1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
ROR1 is a transmembrane receptor that contains an extracellular section, a transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic region, a member of the RTK family of orphan receptors related to muscle-specific kinase and Trk neurotrophin receptors. ROR1 is primarily expressed by neural crest cells during embryogenesis. High expression of ROR1 is reported in many malignancies and is thought to be involved in tumor growth, apoptosis, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Moreover, ROR1 is also involved in the activation of signaling proteins important for cell proliferation, survival, and migration.
