Product Information
KE00922 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human RIOK3 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human RIOK3. The assay recognizes human RIOK3. An antibody specific for human RIOK3 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human RIOK3 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human RIOK3 is added to detect the captured human RIOK3 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
RIOK3, also known as RIO kinase 3, is an atypical serine/threonine protein kinase belonging to the RIO kinase family. It acts as an atypical kinase, meaning it doesn't follow the typical kinase structure and function patterns. It plays key roles in regulating innate immune responses, cell cycle progression, and tumorigenesis. RIOK3 modulates type I interferon production by phosphorylating downstream targets (e.g., TBK1, IRF3) and is implicated in inflammatory diseases and cancer, making it a potential therapeutic target for immune modulation and anticancer drug development.
