Product Information
KE00746 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human RFC2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human RFC2. The assay recognizes human RFC2. An antibody specific for human RFC2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human RFC2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human RFC2 is added to detect the captured human RFC2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Replication factor C subunit 2 (RFC2) is a key component of the replication factor C (RFC) complex, which is essential for DNA replication and repair. The RFC complex facilitates the loading of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) onto DNA, a critical step for DNA polymerase delta and epsilon to carry out DNA synthesis. RFC2 is also involved in various biological processes, including cell cycle progression, DNA damage repair, and aerobic glycolysis in colorectal cancer. Additionally, RFC2 has been implicated in the regulation of immune responses and tumor progression.
