Product Information
KE00793 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human RB1CC1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human RB1CC1. The assay recognizes human RB1CC1. An antibody specific for human RB1CC1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human RB1CC1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human RB1CC1 is added to detect the captured human RB1CC1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
RB1CC1 is implicated in the regulation of RB1 expression and functions as a DNA-binding transcription factor. It is a potent regulator of the RB1 pathway and a mediator that plays a crucial role in muscular differentiation. Its expression is, thus, a prerequisite for myogenic differentiation. Involved in autophagy. RB1CC1 is required for autophagosome formation. It is probably involved in the tumorigenesis of breast cancer. RB1CC1 is frequently mutated in breast cancer and shows characteristics of a classical tumor suppressor gene.
