Product Information

KE00786 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human PSMC3IP ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human PSMC3IP. The assay recognizes human PSMC3IP. An antibody specific for human PSMC3IP has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human PSMC3IP protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human PSMC3IP is added to detect the captured human PSMC3IP protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information

PSMC3IP (PSMC3-interacting protein), also known as TBPIP, GT198, HUMGT198A, or Hop2, is a nuclear protein that plays important roles in meiotic recombination, DNA repair, transcriptional regulation, cancer development, and cell cycle regulation. PSMC3IP is a subunit of the PSMC3IP/MND1 complex, interacting with PSMC3/TBP1 to stimulate DMC1- and RAD51-mediated strand exchange during meiosis. Additionally, PSMC3IP acts as a coactivator of ligand-dependent transcription, participating in transcription mediated by estrogen, androgen, glucocorticoid, progesterone, and thyroid nuclear receptors. Mutations in the PSMC3IP gene can lead to XX female gonadal dysgenesis.
