Background
TrkC (Tropomyosin Receptor Kinase C), also known as NTRK3 (Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase Receptor Type 3), belongs to the Trk family of receptor tyrosine kinases, which also includes TrkA and TrkB. These receptors are primarily involved in the development and function of the nervous system.
