Product Information
KE00640 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human NSUN2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human NSUN2. The assay recognizes human NSUN2. An antibody specific for human NSUN2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human NSUN2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human NSUN2 is added to detect the captured human NSUN2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
NSUN2, also known as SAKI or Misu (Myc-induced SUN-domain-containing protein), is an RNA methyltransferase belonging to the NSUN (NOL1/NOP2/Sun) family of proteins, which are characterized by their conserved S-adenosylmethionine (SAM)-dependent methyltransferase domain. It catalyzes the methylation of cytosine residues (m⁵C) in transfer RNAs (tRNAs) and other RNA molecules, playing a crucial role in post-transcriptional RNA modification.
