Product Information
KE00948 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human NME2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human NME2. The assay recognizes human NME2. An antibody specific for human NME2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human NME2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human NME2 is added to detect the captured human NME2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
NME2(non-metastatic cells 2, protein), also named NDKB(Nucleoside diphosphate kinase B) and NM23B, belongs to the NDK family. It is involved in the phosphorylation of nucleoside diphosphates, supplying nucleotide pools for DNA/RNA synthesis, and interacts with membrane receptors and constitutes a novel molecular regulatory mechanism of GPCR endocytosis. It negatively regulates Rho activity by interacting with AKAP13/LBC, and also acts as a transcriptional activator of the MYC gene and binds DNA non-specifically.
