Background
NCR3 (natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 3) is part of the natural cytotoxicity receptors (NCRs), which play a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in the function of natural killer (NK) cells. NCR3 is a cell membrane receptor of NK cells that is activated by binding of extracellular ligands, including BAG6 and NCR3LG1. NCR3 is involved in the immune response by facilitating the lysis of tumor cells. It interacts with the T-cell receptor CD3-zeta (CD247).
