Product Information
KE00852 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human/mouse HCN1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human/mouse HCN1. The assay recognizes human/mouse HCN1. An antibody specific for human/mouse HCN1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human/mouse HCN1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human/mouse HCN1 is added to detect the captured human/mouse HCN1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
HCN1 (Hyperpolarization-activated Cyclic Nucleotide-gated Channel 1) is a voltage-gated ion channel that plays a crucial role in regulating the electrical activity of neurons and cardiac cells. HCN1 is highly expressed in the brain and heart. In the brain, it is involved in regulating neuronal excitability, synaptic transmission, and rhythmogenesis. In the heart, it contributes to the intrinsic pacemaker activity of cardiomyocytes. It is a potential therapeutic target for various neurological and cardiac disorders.
