Product Information
KE00778 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human LRRFIP1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human LRRFIP1. The assay recognizes human LRRFIP1. An antibody specific for human LRRFIP1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human LRRFIP1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human LRRFIP1 is added to detect the captured human LRRFIP1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
LRRFIP1 is a transcriptional repressor that preferentially binds to GC-rich sequences (5'-AGCCCCCGGCG-3') and may regulate the expression of TNF, EGFR, and PDGFA. It controls smooth muscle cells after arterial injury by inhibiting PDGFA. LRRFIP1 can recognize pathogenic microbial DNA and RNA in invading cells, and then activate immune cells to produce interferon through non-classical innate immune signal transduction pathways to quickly eliminate pathogenic microorganisms.
