Product Information
KE00403 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human KLF5 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human KLF5. The assay recognizes human KLF5. An antibody specific for human KLF5 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human KLF5 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human KLF5 is added to detect the captured human KLF5 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
Krueppel-like factor 5 (KLF5, also known as BTEB2, CKLF, and IKLF) is a zinc finger transcription factor that plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including proliferation, apoptosis, autophagy, and migration. Due to its role as a transcription factor, it is predominantly found in the nucleus. KLF5 is frequently abnormally expressed in human cancers, including squamous carcinoma, gastrointestinal cancer, and colorectal cancer. Studies of KLF5 are associated with prognostic biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and potential cancer drugs.
