Product Information
KE00718 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human FOXF1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human FOXF1. The assay recognizes human FOXF1. An antibody specific for human FOXF1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human FOXF1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human FOXF1 is added to detect the captured human FOXF1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
FOXF1 (Forkhead box protein F1), also known as FKHL5, It is expected to be located in the nucleus, which is expressed predominantly in lung and placenta. FOXF1, a member of the Forkhead box family of transcription factors, as one of the most highly and consistently upregulated genes in FP-RMS. While it is known that FOXF1 is required for mesodermal differentiation toward endothelial and smooth muscle cell lineages, FOXF1 is not expressed in differentiated skeletal muscle cells, and its role in fusion-positive FP-RMS remains unknown.
