Product Information
KE00528 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human FGR ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human FGR. The assay recognizes human FGR. An antibody specific for human FGR has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human FGR protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human FGR is added to detect the captured human FGR protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
FGR (Tyrosine-protein kinase Fgr), also known as SRC2. The protein is detected in neutrophils, monocytes and natural killer cells (at protein level)(PMID: 11078731). FGR protein plays an important role in cell migration, adhesion, cytoskeleton remodeling, phagocytosis and immune response. It negatively regulates cell migration and adhesion through β2 integrin signaling pathway. In addition, FGR is also involved in regulating the degranulation of basophils, the release of inflammatory cytokines and IgE-mediated allergic reactions. FGR is expressed in bone marrow, spleen and other tissues, especially in myeloid cells and tissue macrophages.
