Product Information
KE01069 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CPLX1 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CPLX1. The assay recognizes human CPLX1. An antibody specific for human CPLX1 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CPLX1 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CPLX1 is added to detect the captured human CPLX1 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CPLX1 (Complexin I) is a small synaptic protein that plays an important role mainly in the central nervous system and is involved in the release of neurotransmitters and the functional regulation of synapses. CPLX1 is a member of the complexin/Synaphin family. CPLX1 plays a key role in synaptic vesicular exocytosis, and dysfunction of CPLX1 is associated with developmental and epileptic encephalopathy.
