Product Information
KE00904 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CLYBL ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CLYBL. The assay recognizes human CLYBL. An antibody specific for human CLYBL has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CLYBL protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CLYBL is added to detect the captured human CLYBL protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CLYBL (Citrate lyase beta like), also named CLB, is a Mitochondrial citramalyl-CoA lyase indirectly involved in vitamin B12 metabolism. CLYBL exhibits malate synthase and b-methylmalate synthase activities. CLYBL was expressed at lower levels in breast cancer samples compared with normal tissues. This low CLYBL expression was associated with poor patient survival rates. Overexpressing CLYBL could inhibit breast cancer and reduce NRF2 pathway-mediated antioxidants.
