KE00822 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CD93 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CD93. The assay recognizes human CD93. An antibody specific for human CD93 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CD93 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CD93 is added to detect the captured human CD93 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CD93 is a transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on endothelial cells, monocytes, and macrophages. It regulates immune cell activation and differentiation, particularly in the context of inflammation and immune cell activation. Reports indicate an association between CD93 and diseases of which inflammation is a fundamental characteristic, such as asthma, bronchitis, and arthritis. Additionally, it has been reported that increased levels of this soluble form of CD93 are found in plasma from patients with myocardial infarction.
