Product Information
KE00754 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CD45 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CD45. The assay recognizes human CD45. An antibody specific for human CD45 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CD45 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CD45 is added to detect the captured human CD45 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CD45 is a transmembrane glycoprotein, expressed on almost all hematopoietic cells except for mature erythrocytes, and is an essential regulator of T and B cell antigen receptor-mediated activation. CD45 controls immune function by regulating lymphocyte survival, cytokine responses, and TCR signaling. Additionally, the soluble cytoplasmic tail of CD45 is a soluble factor in human plasma under steady-state conditions, which contributes to the maintenance of T-cell quiescence.
