Product Information
KE00546 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human CCT5 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human CCT5. The assay recognizes human CCT5. An antibody specific for human CCT5 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human CCT5 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human CCT5 is added to detect the captured human CCT5 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CCT5 is a subunit of chaperonin containing TCP1 complex that is also known as the TCP1 ring complex (TRiC). CCT5 involves enhancing Wnt/β-catenin signalling activity in GCs through abrogating the interaction between E-cadherin and β-catenin. The CCT5 structure harbors key functional domains, including a nucleotide-binding site, substrate-binding site, sensor loop, and apical loop, all of which are implicated in protein folding stability, a process linked to cancer pathogenesisThe expression levels of CCT5 have been found to be upregulated in types of cancers, including breast cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, glioblastoma, hepatocellular carcinoma and ovarian cancer.
