KE01015 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human C1QTNF2 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human C1QTNF2. The assay recognizes human C1QTNF2. An antibody specific for human C1QTNF2 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human C1QTNF2 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human C1QTNF2 is added to detect the captured human C1QTNF2 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
C1QTNF2 (C1q and Tumor Necrosis Factor Related Protein 2) is a secretory protein that belongs to the C1q/TNF-related protein (CTRP) family. It is also commonly known as CTRP2. This family of proteins shares structural similarities with two important protein superfamilies: the immune complement component C1q and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α.
