Product Information
KE00582 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human ATG9A ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human ATG9A. The assay recognizes human ATG9A. An antibody specific for human ATG9A has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human ATG9A protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human ATG9A is added to detect the captured human ATG9A protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
ATG9A, a transmembrane protein of the core autophagy pathway, cycles between the Golgi, endosomes and a vesicular compartment. It is involved in autophagosome assembly and enables phospholipid scramblase activity. ATG9A is expressed ubiquitously across various tissues, with high expression in the brain and spinal cord. The inhibition of ATG9A can lead to an inhibition of cancer cell proliferation and invasion.
