Product Information
KE00895 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human ARNT/HIF-1 beta ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human ARNT/HIF-1 beta. The assay recognizes human ARNT/HIF-1 beta. An antibody specific for human ARNT/HIF-1 beta has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human ARNT/HIF-1 beta protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human ARNT/HIF-1 beta is added to detect the captured human ARNT/HIF-1 beta protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
HIF1B (HIF-1 beta), also named as ARNT, is a 789 amino acid protein, which forms a heterodimer with AHR, AHRR, HIF1A and EPAS1/HIF2A as well as with other bHLH proteins. HIF1B is required for activity of the Ah (dioxin) receptor. This protein is required for the ligand-binding subunit to translocate from the cytosol to the nucleus after ligand binding. HIF1B plays a pivotal role in the adaptive responses to (micro-)environmental stresses such as oxygen deprivation (hypoxia).
