Product Information
KE01010 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human ARHGAP19 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human ARHGAP19. The assay recognizes human ARHGAP19. An antibody specific for human ARHGAP19 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human ARHGAP19 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human ARHGAP19 is added to detect the captured human ARHGAP19 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
ARHGAP19 (Rho GTPase Activating Protein 19) is a Rho GTPase-activating protein belonging to the RhoGAP family, involved in various cytoskeleton-related events, including epithelial morphogenesis. This protein inactivates Rho protein activity by promoting GTP hydrolysis, thereby regulating cell shape and motility. In endometrial epithelial cells, the expression of ARHGAP19 is upregulated during the receptive phase, and its function is crucial for the remodeling of intercellular junctional complexes and cytoskeleton reorganization. Additionally, ARHGAP19 is involved in regulating cell polarity and apical membrane morphological changes, which facilitate embryo adhesion and invasion. Deficiencies in ARHGAP19 function may lead to loss of cell polarity, promoting the shift of non-receptive epithelial cells to a receptive phenotype.
