Product Information
KE00433 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The human ABR ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous human ABR. The assay recognizes human ABR. An antibody specific for human ABR has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The human ABR protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for human ABR is added to detect the captured human ABR protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
ABR (Active breakpoint cluster region-related protein) is the only protein known in humans and mice to share high homology with BCR (68% amino acid identity). BCR(Breakpoint cluster region) gene was originally identified due to its involvement in a specific chromosomal translocation that causes the development of chronic myeloid leukemia and a subset of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The C-terminus is a GTPase-activating protein domain which stimulates GTP hydrolysis by RAC1, RAC2 and CDC42.
